Never cancel a dream / Nunca canceles un sueño

Dreaming is one of the best things you can do, and I know first-hand, because becoming a journalist was once a dream.

I wish someone advised me last year that I really have the “blogging” material and that I should start a page like the one you’re seeing now.

It’s absolutely amazing, and an honor at the same time, have such an amount of people reading what I’m actually typing, here (on Confessions), I’m not just a serious journalist, here I’m me, myself and I, all of my thoughts (including the crazy ones), find their place here, and I’m also having the chance of meeting such cool people from all over the world.

Sometimes it can be hard to achieve a dream, but that’s when you have to make a step further and say “hey, what the heck? I can do this”, it doesn’t matter what obstacles you may find on the way, is having the opportunity to say “I made it” after all the things you can been through.

My advice is Never cancel a dream, you have the power to live your life the way you want it, to dress the way you dream it, to work and don’t even notice you’re actually working because you enjoy the things you’re doing.

Immediately I read today’s prompt, I remember some of the lyrics of a song that has been playing continuously on my iPod this week, and I’m sharing this with you right now…

Soñar es una de las mejores cosas que puedes hacer, y lo sé de primera mano puesto que ser un periodista fue una vez un sueño para mí.

Desearía que alguien hace un año atrás me hubiese aconsejado abrir este blog, y que veían en mí el material necesario para hacer una página como la que ven ahora.

Es absolutamente increíble y un honor al mismo tiempo, tener tal cantidad de personas que leen lo que escribo, acá, en Confesiones, no soy solo un periodista serio, aquí soy yo, yo mismo y mi persona, y mis pensamientos (incluyendo los locos), encuentran su lugar acá, y además de ello, tengo el placer de conocer personas geniales de todas partes del mundo.

Algunas veces puede ser fuerte lograr un sueño, pero es allí cuando tienes que dar un paso al frente y decir “Que tontera, claro que puedo hacerlo”, no importa que obstáculos puedas conseguirte en el camino, lo importante es tener la oportunidad de decir “lo hice” luego de pasar todas las posibles vicisitudes que puedas encontrar.

Mi consejo es Nunca canceles un sueño, tú tienes el poder de vivir tu vida en la forma que quieras, de vestirte como desees, e incluso de trabajar en algo que no notes que estás trabajando pues en realidad lo disfrutas.

Inmediatamente luego de leer el título de este prompt, recordé la letra de una canción que no ha parado de sonar en mi iPod esta semana, y la comparto con ustedes ahora mismo…
